We got a chuckle at cars passing by as they were probably wondering what the Stanley Cup was doing at the side of the road in the middle of Eden Prairie. Yet there it stood with a wife and kids that supported their Dad and his job with the St Louis Blues as the team finally won big time this year!
Each player gets the trophy for a day and on the day they got to hang out with this enormous cup I got to be there at their home too. ( Yes, I held it and yes it was sorta heavy) They wanted me to capture this special day for them as they celebrated with family and friends.
An equally big event for this family was the birth of their 2nd daughter right as it became clear that The Blues had a shot at winning this year. That meant a lot of chaos and excitement going on all around this little one's arrival and yet this family handled it all so beautifully. This is why Mom and Dad humored me when I asked Dad to hold up his trophy and Mom to hold up her baby to show the big things they both accomplished this year!
