I know what it's like to have 3 sons, so maybe that's why I have so much fun with this family and their 3 boys. We have entirely too much fun together every time we do a photo session together.
The trick with photographing active boys is to keep them moving. Trying to make them sit still will surely backfire. That is why I have a studio situated by a hidden garden. It's like a little hidden oasis in North East Minneapolis. I use it to keep kids on the move... we usually start in the studio and as soon as that excitement wears off we move the fun outside. Just steps away and it's a completely different world for the kids to explore.
