Just imagine the feeling I had when I'd found the perfect spot for a family's outdoor photos days before a session at a nature reserve and when the day arrives and I walk with them to the location excited to show them how beautiful it is and... it's all on fire?!
Sure enough our scheduled session was during the time Minnetonka city crews were doing prescribed burns of the fields. So everything in the area I wanted to be in was in flames and smoke.
Quick pivot to some of my second favorite locations I found there (with fires just out of sight) and we were back in business. Whew! We all smelled a bit like a campfire after the experience but managed to escape with our lives and some beautiful photos.
